এই পরিস্থিতি নির্দেশ করে যে সাবম্যান্ডিবুলার লালা গ্রন্থি নালীতে (হার্টন নালী) একটি পাথর রয়েছে। টক খাবার লালা নিঃসরণ বাড়ায় এবং গ্রন্থি হঠাৎ ফুলে যায় কারণ পাথর নালীকে ব্লক করে দেয়। সাইলোএন্ডোস্কোপি পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করে ছেদ ছাড়াই ক্যামেরা দিয়ে পাথর অপসারণ করা যায়।
