Impacted wisdom teeth extraction before orthodontics: Should I have them all removed at the same time?

Before the braces were placed, I was told that my two horizontally impacted wisdom teeth in the lower jaw would need to be extracted. Should I have both of them taken in one session or one week apart?

I think you should take them one week apart! Because if you remove both sides, you will have no side left to chew food, and you will have to drink liquid only through a straw for 3-4 days. Once one side is healed, it is much more comfortable to have the other side removed.

If general anesthesia or sedation is not planned, pulling the right and left sides under local anesthesia 1-2 weeks apart is clinically more preferred in terms of postoperative chewing comfort. However, in patients with time constraints, unilateral double imaging (same side upper-lower) is also a very practical alternative.

I had my upper and lower right side removed on the same day, and I ate comfortably with my left side. I had the left side removed 10 days later, and I had no difficulty.
