Hinchazón de las mejillas y tiempo de aplicación de hielo después de una extracción difícil de un molar

My broken molar tooth was extracted yesterday. My cheek is as swollen as a tangerine today. How long should I put the ice on?

Cold compress is applied only in the first 24 hours by putting it on for 15 minutes and resting it for 15 minutes. After 48 hours, ice is no longer applied; After this stage, slightly warm applications increase circulation and help disperse edema. After the 3rd day, the swelling will decrease rapidly.

I was wondering the same question, and the detailed answer given by our doctor was very enlightening. Thanks.
