Can orthodontic braces be placed on a tooth that has undergone root canal treatment?

I had root canal treatment on my front incisor 2 years ago. My orthodontist said he could wear braces, but is there a risk of fracture or root melting when removing braces?

I also had two root canal treated teeth, both upper and lower. I had braces treatment for 1.5 years and now my braces have come off, I have not had any problems.

Although root canal treated teeth have lost their living pulp tissue, the periodontium fibers that connect the tooth to the jawbone are alive. Therefore, they can be moved safely within the bone like biologically normal teeth. It is essential that there is no active periapical lesion at the root tip before treatment.
