Has anyone had mini screws (skeletal anchors) installed in orthodontics? Does it hurt?

My doctor said that he would insert two mini screws into my palate to pull back the protrusion in my upper jaw. Putting a screw into the bone sounds very scary. Did those who had it inserted feel any pain or aches afterwards?

Believe me, it's not like you feared! It got stuck in my right and left upper palate 3 months ago. They gave me 1 spray of numbing spray and a tiny needle, the screw was installed in 30 seconds and I felt zero pain. It doesn't hurt because there are no nerves in the bone.

Orthodontic mini screws (TADs - Temporary Anchor Devices) are the biggest helpers of contemporary orthodontics to move or embed the tooth group without imposing reactive and unwanted force on the surrounding teeth. It is applied painlessly in 1-2 minutes under local anesthesia, and no pain is expected after the procedure, except for a slight tension.

So I had it installed, my tongue kept touching the screw for the first 2 days, then I got used to it. His teeth retracted incredibly fast, definitely don't be afraid.
