My dentist saw white lace-like lines on the inside of my cheek and said it was lichen planus. Is it dangerous?

Oral Lichen Planus is a chronic mucosal disease of autoimmune origin that can be exacerbated by stress. The reticular (white striped) form is usually benign and does not cause pain. Regular 6-month medical check-ups and avoiding bitter/spicy foods are sufficient.
