Salivary gland stone (Sialolithiasis) that suddenly swells under the chin and then descends while eating (Sialolithiasis)

Especially when I eat lemon or something sour, a walnut-like swelling appears under my chin, and it goes away after 1 hour.

This situation indicates that there is a stone in the submandibular salivary gland duct (Wharton duct). Sour foods increase saliva secretion, and the gland suddenly swells because the stone blocks the duct. Stones can be removed with a camera without an incision using the sialoendoscopy method.

I was wondering the same question, and the detailed answer given by our doctor was very enlightening. Thanks.
