For impacted wisdom tooth extraction, should an oral surgeon or a regular dentist be seen?

In the panoramic film, it says that my lower wisdom tooth is touching the nerve. Should I have it removed at a regular dental clinic or should I see an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon?
