Is it possible to avoid root canal treatment with caulage (biological filling) for deep caries?

My doctor said that the bruise was very close to the nerve and applied a caulking agent. Will my tooth be saved?

Bioceramics containing calcium silicate (TheraCal, Biodentine) used in direct or indirect pulp capping stimulate the tooth and form a repair dentin bridge and can protect the living tooth for years without the need for root canal treatment.

I was wondering the same question, and the detailed answer given by our doctor was very enlightening. Thanks.
