Miedo a la pérdida de coágulo (alveolitis/alveolitis) después de la extracción del diente y formas de prevenirlo

My impacted wisdom tooth was extracted yesterday. I am very afraid of getting alveolitis. What should I pay attention to in the first 48 hours?

The most important rule: DEFINITELY DO NOT SPIT AND SHAKE! Even if you taste blood in your mouth, you will swallow it. It is also forbidden to drink anything through a straw, it creates a vacuum effect and removes the blood clot there. Forget about smoking for at least 3 days.

Alveolitis (dry socket) occurs when the primary blood clot in the extraction socket is mechanically displaced or dissolved by fibrinolytic activity, leaving the bone walls exposed and causing severe throbbing pain. During the first 24 hours, shaking should not be done, no spitting should be done, and hot foods and tobacco products should be strictly avoided.
