Apical Resection instead of extracting the tooth when root canal treatment fails

Het wortelabces in mijn met wortelkanaalbehandeling behandelde tand gaat niet weg. Kan ik mijn tand redden met apicale resectie?

Apicale resectie (worteloperatie) is het laatste en meest waardevolle herstelpunt vóór het trekken van tanden. De laatste 3 geïnfecteerde millimeters van de wortel worden operatief afgesneden en naar achteren dichtgestopt met een speciale biokeramische vulling (MTA); De tand blijft met succes in de mond.
