Is bonding or braces more logical for the gap (diastema) between the front teeth?

There is only a 2.5 mm gap between my upper two front teeth, my other teeth are fine. Would it be better to wear braces or composite bonding done in 1 hour?

Likewise, only my front two teeth were separated, I had bonding done and it was done in 45 minutes. They didn't even do any abrasion on my teeth, I've been using it for 3 years, zero problems.

If your bite, tooth size ratios and width of your lateral incisors are appropriate, non-invasive direct composite bonding is an excellent and economical option for diastema closure. However, if the teeth are already wide, bonding can make the teeth look even larger; In this case, closing the gap with transparent aligners gives a more aesthetically balanced result.
